New Routes Foundation sponsors orphaned young adults through university

WHAT WE DO

We believe orphaned young adults should have the opportunity to access New Routes for their lives, ones which enable them to reach their full potential. For many, going to university carries the potential for new doors to be opened for their futures. We are based in Elgeyo-Marakwet county in Kenya. Only 1.3% of secondary school students here (from any background) go on to achieve a university degree. The opportunities for orphans are much lower.

New Routes Foundation sponsors orphaned young adults through university. However, we realise there is a need for more if our students are to develop into well-rounded, confident and successful young adults. That is why we have developed a holistic and very personal programme, which involves taking in a relatively low number of students per intake. This means we are able to give our students as much love, time and energy as possible.

Through mentorship, various extra-curricular courses and biblical discipleship (among other things) we aim to equip and encourage our students to reach their full potential.
