Programme Overview

We support ambitious and dedicated orphaned young adults throughout their university years. As well as financial support, our holistic programme is strongly centred around discipleship because we believe spiritually-mature young adults is the most important outcome of our programme.

Our next biggest target is for our students to gain employment after graduation, which is where our university sponsorship, skills courses, and internships come in.

This approach involves nurturing the gifts and talents of our students, while also helping them to develop new skills and personal attributes. 'The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.' (C.S. Lewis)

We believe our programme facilitates positive change not only in the lives of our students, but often also in those of their families and communities.

How it works:

  1. Students join the programme after graduating from secondary school.
  2. Prior to joining university, our students live on the NRF Compound for 3 months where they receive Christian discipleship, are taught life skills, employment skills, and are mentored on various subjects, including career choice and any personal issues.
  3. Our students then head to university to study the subject they are truly passionate about, equipped with everything they have learned over the previous 3 months to prepare them for university life.
  4. After they head to university, they continue to be discipled and mentored and come back to stay with us during holidays.

Through this programme (see boxes below), we aim to equip, empower and encourage our students to reach their full potential.
